MIL-DTL-38999 Series IV Environmental & Hermetic
The MIL-DTL-38999 Series IV features a 90-degree quarter-turn breech-lock coupling mechanism that provides visual, tactile, and audible confirmation of engagement. The coupling disperses mating force across a channeled metal flange, with a threaded mechanical thread providing secondary locking to prevent inadvertent demating under extreme vibration and shock loads. Environmental sealing, integrated EMI grounding, and pin-to-pin mating protection are standard.
DLA QPL qualified in both environmental and hermetic class designs, Glenair Series IV connectors are the go-to solution for missile systems, fire-control electronics, tracking systems, and other defense and aerospace applications where connector reliability cannot be compromised.
