VITA 87 High Density Circular MT Connectors
The Amphenol FSI VITA 87 product line delivers high-density, MT-based fiber optic interconnect capability within the proven MIL-DTL-38999 Series III circular form factor. Offered in shell sizes 11, 13, and 15 and supporting 1, 2, and 4 MT ferrules respectively. The VITA87 series provides a rugged, waterproof, low-loss connection for up to 192 fibers per mated pair. Connectors are available with flat polish (PC), angled polish (APC), and AR-coated expanded beam lensed (EB-MT) ferrule options to support both singlemode and multimode architectures.
Designed and manufactured to meet VITA 87 and SOSA™ technical standards, the AV87 intermates with legacy supplier products and guarantees multi-vendor sourcing options for program flexibility. Compatibility with standard MIL-DTL-D39888 Series III backshells and accessories enables straightforward integration across defense and aerospace platforms.
