MIL-DTL-26482 II Connectors
Amphenol Aerospace’s MIL-DTL-26482, Series 2 Matrix line provides a bayonet coupling connector with crimp rear-insertable, rear-releasable contacts.
- Medium size, environmentally resistant connector
- Quick positive coupling assured by 3-point bayonet coupling system
- Eliminates mismating by the use of five key/keyway design
- Contacts are qualified to SAE-AS39029 requirements
- Insertion and removal of contacts from the rear of the connector assures no damage to the front, preventing impact to sealing
- Utilizes same standard qualified rear-release type plastic tool for contact insertion and removal
- Closed entry socket side of insert features lead-in chamfer and hard face to accept pin contacts bent within pre-established limits
- Elastomer interfacial seal on pin side features raised barriers around each pin for displacement into socket chamber when mated — ultimately providing a positive moisture seal
- Triple-webbed grommet at rear of connector ensures sealing over a range of wire diameters. Grommets are constructed of tear-resistant elastomer and experience no degradation when exposed to a broad range of fluids.

- Shells size 8 to 24; Contact sizes 20, 16, and 12
