3M 1181 EMI Copper Foil Shielding Tape
3M 1181 EMI Copper Foil Shielding Tape provides reliable EMI/RFI suppression for military-aerospace assemblies where proven shielding effectiveness, electrical continuity, and flame retardancy are required. Suited for cable wrap, enclosure seaming, grounding, and static charge dissipation across defense electronics and lab environments.
Constructed with a 1.4 mil dead-soft, 1-ounce copper foil backing and a 1.2 mil electrically conductive acrylic adhesive, the 1181 achieves low contact resistance between the tape and substrate without soldering. Total tape thickness is 2.6 mil. Available in widths from 1/4 in to 2 in on 18 yd rolls, with a removable kraft paper liner for easy handling and die-cut processing. The 1181 is flame-retardant per UL-510A and rated for 600V dry applications. Adhesive system resists heat, oxidation, and solvents.
