TE Connectivity (TE) has changed preferred adhesive material used to bond plastic to plastic terminal junction components Ablestik adhesive EO 0202 (Manufacturer Henkel) to ECOBOND 104 adhesive (Manufacturer Henkel). Assembled parts were submitted to a full series of testing (Visual and Mechanical Examination, Contact Insertion/Removal forces, Contact Retention, Dielectric Withstanding Voltage (Sea Level), Thermal Shock & Fluid Immersion) prior the change approval. Adding to this, ECOBOND 104 adhesive has been used for other Terminal Junction products as splices and Series II assemblies, this change will allows to unify different adhesives for the same types products.
