MIL-DTL-38999 III (D38999) harsh environment connectors are designed for rugged applications, featuring wall mount receptacles, jam nut receptacles, and straight self-locking RFI plugs. Available in 9 shell sizes and 54 insert arrangements, these connectors accommodate M39029 contacts in various sizes, including 22D, 20, 16, 12, 10 power, and 8 twinax. Constructed from aluminum, stainless steel, or lightweight composite, with options for olive drab cadmium, nickel, black zinc nickel, or passivated stainless steel plating, they offer robust protection. The MIL-DTL-38999/24 model, with 41 removable crimp contacts (contact size 20(41)), is a Series III circular receptacle for jam nut mounting, featuring an electroless nickel or electrodeposited nickel finish. With a wide operating temperature range of -65°C to 200°C and environmental resistance, these connectors, though not RoHS-compliant, are ideal for military and high-reliability applications.
