MIL-DTL-38999 III (D38999) harsh environment connectors feature wall mount receptacles, jam nut receptacles, and straight self-locking RFI plugs in 9 shell sizes and 54 insert arrangements with M39029 contacts. Available in aluminum, stainless steel, and lightweight composite shells with various plating options including olive drab cadmium and nickel. RoHS-compliant and Boeing BACC-approved designs are offered, with a maximum operating temperature of 175 °C and a minimum of -65 °C. The 38999 Series 3 connectors, such as the MIL-DTL-38999/20, are circular, threaded, wall mounting receptacles with 22 removable crimp contacts (22D) in a size 13 shell.
