This important move gives TE the option to supply Multi-Beam products with either gold based plating or palladium nickel alloy with gold flash plating. Gold flash over Palladium Nickel plating has been in use for many years and has been Qualified by TE and other leading connector OEMs. This change allows TE to maintain competitive pricing on Multi-Beam connectors while still maintaining the same specified performance level. 2-6450540-5
